The renovation works of the toilet complex at the Dambulla Dedicated Economic Center were implemented following a systematic and well-planned approach. An initial site inspection was carried out to assess the existing condition of the facilities, identify structural and service-related deficiencies, and determine the scope of renovation required. Based on the findings, the scope of work was finalized and an implementation plan was prepared to ensure minimum disruption to daily operations while maintaining required safety and hygiene standards.
Subsequently, all necessary demolition and surface preparation works were executed, followed by civil and structural improvement works including repairs, waterproofing, and surface corrections. Plumbing and sanitary installations were upgraded to improve functionality, durability, and hygiene in line with public-use standards. Finishing works such as tiling, painting, and fixture installations were then completed to enhance usability and longevity of the facility.
Upon completion of the construction and installation works, comprehensive quality inspections and testing were conducted to ensure compliance with approved specifications and functional requirements. The renovated toilet complex was finally cleaned, commissioned, and handed over in fully operational condition for public use.
The project was completed under active public use conditions through phased execution, effective supervision, and timely technical solutions, ensuring smooth progress and successful completion.
