With expertise in road construction and building construction, we provide complete engineering solutions including road marking, earthworks, machinery hire, and construction material supply. Driven by our commitment to quality, on-time delivery, and trust & responsibility, we continue to deliver reliable infrastructure development for Sri Lanka’s future.
After years of strong progress and experience, we expanded our vision further by launching a new company dedicated to specialized engineering solutions: Pragathi Engineers. This step represents our long-term goal of delivering modern, efficient, and innovative services to meet the growing needs of Sri Lanka’s construction industry.
Following the impact of COVID-19 and the national economic crisis, Pragathi Civil Construction focused on rebuilding operations, strengthening financial stability, and boosting performance. Through commitment and strategic planning, we improved productivity and prepared the company for a stronger and more sustainable future.
We significantly increased our machinery fleet and successfully contributed to major government development programs, including work connected to Sri Lanka’s 100,000 km road development initiative. This period marked a major step forward in handling larger-scale projects with higher efficiency and stronger operational capacity.
By 2016, our technical experience and workforce strength allowed us to take on medium-scale bridge projects, adding new value to our service portfolio. This milestone strengthened our reputation as a company capable of delivering structural and infrastructure projects with confidence and responsibility.
To improve project efficiency and maintain quality control, Pragathi Civil Construction invested in its own heavy machinery fleet. This expansion enabled us to take on more complex work, reduce dependency on external hiring, and deliver faster, more cost-effective project outcomes.
With growing demand and increasing project success, we expanded our services to Kandy, allowing us to reach new clients and handle larger construction requirements. This move became a key turning point in the company’s growth and long-term expansion strategy.
